Erin Mckinnon
PHYSIOTHERAPY RESIDENT
Erin is a Physiotherapist and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist who is passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and live without limitations. Originally from St. John’s, she grew up playing multiple sports before focusing on soccer, competing both locally and nationally. She later played for the Memorial Seahawks Women’s Soccer Team while pursuing her studies.
She earned her Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in 2024, after completing an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology (Co-op) from Memorial University in 2020. With a strong background in movement and rehabilitation, Erin works with a variety of clients, including athletes looking to enhance performance and individuals recovering from injuries or managing chronic conditions. She also volunteers as a team trainer for a local Challenge Cup Soccer Team, combining her passion for sports with her clinical expertise.
Erin is trained in acupuncture and has completed Pelvic Floor Level 1 training through Pelvic Health Solutions, allowing her to support clients with pelvic health concerns. She is committed to ongoing learning and is always expanding her skills to provide the best possible care at Higher State Health and Wellness Club.
A session with Erin feels like being with a friend—relaxed, comfortable, and supportive. She creates an environment where clients feel at ease, often sharing a laugh along the way while ensuring you leave with practical exercises to keep you moving forward between treatments.
Outside the clinic, Erin enjoys running, working out, travelling, and spending time with friends and family. She’s dedicated to helping people take charge of their health and feel their best.

I will be starting the process to specialize in pelvic health in December but I am fresh out of school right now and open to all new experiences/focus areas, just excited to learn!

The most inspiring part of my work is the profound impact I can have on people's lives. I love being directly involved in improving patients well-being and guiding them on their journey to recovery. Watching someone return to doing what they love after an injury or surgery is incredibly rewarding, and it's the outcome I constantly strive to achieve.

One wellness tip I always share with my patients is to make movement a daily habit. Even small, consistent movements like stretching, walking, or simple mobility exercises can be very beneficial!
