Nick Rowsell

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Nick is a Registered Massage Therapist with a deep passion for helping people feel their best, whether recovering from injuries, managing chronic pain, or improving mobility. He specializes in deep pressure, chronic pain relief, and neck treatments, using a holistic and hands-on approach to support his clients' overall well-being. Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), he is dedicated to making care accessible and inclusive for all.

Nick earned his Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy from Georgian College, where he completed eight clinical placements in specialized settings, including fibromyalgia care, a geriatrics deaf clinic, and prenatal massage. His treatments focus on active release techniques, thorough assessments, and providing clients with targeted exercises to support their wellness journey beyond each session.

Originally from central Newfoundland, Nick is excited to give back to his community through outreach and by sharing his expertise. With a background in competitive basketball and swimming, including representing Newfoundland at the 2017 Canada Games, he understands the importance of movement, recovery, and injury prevention.

A session with Nick feels like he hits the spot every time—his skilled techniques bring relief where it’s needed most, and his thoughtful approach ensures clients leave feeling both restored and empowered.

Outside of work, he enjoys hiking with his dog, Storm, capturing Newfoundland’s beauty through photography, playing guitar, hitting the gym, and cooking. Nick is thrilled to be part of the Higher State team and looks forward to helping clients achieve their health goals through personalized, results-driven massage therapy.

  • As a new RMT, Nick loves helping people feel better and regain mobility after injuries, especially when they have been dealing with this issue for a while. It is extremely rewarding to see progressive change in his clients’ physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Nick is eager to keep learning and growing to best treat clients.

  • I have a twin brother that is 4 days younger than me.

  • I enjoy hiking and nature walks with my dog storm, and hanging out with my brother.

  • I mostly drink water however, I thoroughly enjoy a Iced coffee

  • When I do have spare time I like to go on Hikes with my dog storm and taking pictures of everything Newfoundland has to offer. I also enjoy going to the Gym, cooking and play guitar.

  • Often we sit or stand in one position for long periods of time. This can lead to muscle tightness and discomfort. taking short intervals throughout the day to stretch or move around can be beneficial.
